Study Inclusive Social Development as an F-1 International Student
Opportunities for International Students with F-1 Visas
Plowshare Farm is an SEVP-approved campus of the Camphill Academy. Our campus is authorized to enroll international students who hold F-1 student visas in our full-time academic program in Inclusive Social Development. Qualified international student candidates are eligible to be awarded a Community Fellowship from Plowshare Farm. This fellowship includes fully paid tuition, a monthly stipend, health insurance, and coverage of basic living expenses in our practice-integrated program of study.
There are two avenues for international students to apply and join the Camphill Academy program here at the Plowshare Farm campus:
Applying from Outside the USA: Candidates may apply to Plowshare’s Academy program from their home country prior to applying for a US student visa. In this case, if a student candidate is accepted into the Academy, the Plowshare campus will issue an I-20 and other invitation materials the prospective student will need in order to apply for an F-1 visa at the nearest US embassy/consulate in their home country.
Already in the USA in F-1 Student Status: International students with valid F-1 status who are already studying in a full-time program in the USA (such as an intensive language program or other full-time academic program) and expect to complete that program by summer 2025 may apply to the Academy program at Plowshare and, if accepted, have their I-20 international student record transferred to the Plowshare campus before the start of the new academic year in August 2025. To inquire about this transfer process, please contact Program Administrator Sam Blair at sblair@camphill.edu.
The deadline for international student applications at the Plowshare campus is March 1, 2025. More information about this unique learning opportunity is below.
